Men’s Health

MPFP assist many men with a variety of pelvic floor disorders, including men pre and post prostate surgery, with bladder symptoms, voiding problems, bowel control, constipation, pelvic pain and erectile dysfunction.

Pelvic Floor

Pelvic floor muscle function is to support the pelvic organs and maintain continence. Having strong pelvic floor muscles gives us control over the bladder and bowel. Weakened pelvic floor muscles mean the internal organs are not fully supported and you may have difficulty controlling the release of urine, faeces or flatus.

Prenatal care

MPFP have a range of services for pre and post natal care specifically aim to help you stay pain free, healthy and active during your pregnancy, as well as optimise labour and your post natal recovery. These services include:

We offer many services to new mums without the need for referral, including: pelvic floor assessment, abdominal rehabilitation, mastitis & breastfeeding conditions..

Children’s continence

Bedwetting is a complex condition that can often be a source of worry for parents and children. Most children will be dry through the day by the age of 3, and dry at night by school age. It’s important to remember that all children develop at different rates.

Real Time Ultrasound

A real time ultrasound is a non-invasive, valid & reliable way that MPFP physiotherapists can teach contraction of the core muscles and use the visual Biofeedback as your contractions are demonstrated on the Ultrasound screen.

Soft tissue & joint injuries

Our highly qualified physiotherapists will assess your condition, diagnose the problem and help you understand what is wrong. We base your treatment on your lifestyle, activities and general health and we work to prevent discomfort and disability.

Group physiotherapy & exercise classes

The aim of group physiotherapy is to develop a strong core of muscles around the spine and pelvis, to ensure efficient movement and to prevent / treat injuries especially.  Group physiotherapy rectifies imbalances in posture, muscle strength and joint movement.

Massage compliments physiotherapy and other forms of treatment by relaxing the muscles and nervous system, improving circulation to the areas of concern before and after your other required treatments.

Education Classes

We run informative and interactive educational classes taught by our women’s health physiotherapists to teach practical techniques and handy hints with all areas of pregnancy.
