We are happy to have Jill back from her month long European trip where she COMPLETED 2017 Challenge Roth. Challenge Roth is a massive triathlon consisting of a 3.8km swim, 180km bike ride and 42.2km run- all in a day! We are super proud of Jill & looking forward to celebrating her achievement with her.
Name: Chrystal Favorite thing about working at MPFP? Working with a group of beautiful, caring, driven, talented women and watching our patients who are dedicated to improving their health especially the ladies who show up every single time with small children in tow Favorite pilates move and why? The mermaid stretch- I always feel like a graceful ballerina Favourite thing to do on the Peninsula? Go out for breakfast Favourite cafe on the Peninsula? I love Play the Fool on Main Street, Mornington Favourite sport to play? I’m not really into sports but I enjoy doing hill climbs around the peninsula enjoying the views while getting fit Worst injury you have ever had? My precious bundle of Labrador X Great Dane ran at full speed towards me and didn’t stop; he hyper extended my knee and I had to hobble a painful 5kms back home. I spent a couple of weeks on crutches and learnt to turn my back on my playful pup First ever job? I worked at TJs bakery when I was 14 and I hated it but my family loved it as I was allowed to take home the pastries that didn’t sell on Saturdays Favourite line from a movie? My favorite line is from Fargo (Netflix series) when they always say “Don’t be rude” in their gorgeous Minnesota accents- I always mimic it say it to my husband when he teases me about something If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day? Hmmm I’m happy being me- I have a gorgeous family, great job, I’m healthy and happy- so I think it would suck to be someone else for a day Whats one thing you wish your clients knew? There are two things; 1. Prevention is key 2. If you do the exercises that your physiotherapists prescribes now you will have to do less later
Did you know that MPFP stock SRC Pregnancy & Recovery shorts? We’ve had patients come in that have opted to buy shape wear rather then the SRC recovery shorts and we always tell them SRC shorts are MEDICAL grade compression- i.e. They are designed to provide the right amount of compression to promote tissue healing. They come up to the bra line which supports and draws together the ENTIRE abdominal wall- this is how they assist with closing the separation.
MPFP has added more Pilates classes. Check out our new timetable under ‘Group Times’.
