Welcome our newest Physiotherapist Alyssa Beckley. She is excited to join the team at MPFP and looks forward to assisting all clients in achieving their goals and maximizing their potential to improve the quality of their lives. Alyssa graduated in 1997 from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. After spending two years as a sole therapist for a rural hospital in N.S.W., Alyssa travelled to the UK where she worked for eleven years in both the public hospital system around the country and private practice settings. During this time she furthered her studies in Acupuncture, Clinical Pilates, dry needling and Yoga and now combines all these skills to maximizing the recovery of her patients. Returning to Australia five years ago, Alyssa has been treating with manual therapy in the private sector and running Clinical Pilates classes for patients with a spectrum of needs- from the antenatal and postnatal periods to recovery from major life-changing illnesses. Alyssa’s interest in Women’s Health physiotherapy stemmed from her own issues within and post pregnancy, recovering from pelvic instability, diastasis recti and many sporting injuries! Outside physiotherapy, Alyssa has a keen interest in the performing arts, teaches piano, loves trail running and travelling and is kept extremely busy with her two young and active boys.
